Incense-Making Workshop

  • The burning of resins, woods and herbs is one of the most ancient ways of enjoying aromatic plants. Nowadays, many of us use incense as an easy and delightful way to scent our homes and change our mental state.
However, the vast majority of incense on the market today is not made with ingredients that you want to breathe in. Synthetic fragrances, saltpeter, binders and chemicals are released into the air and can affect your health.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make incense with NO artificial binders or combustible agents such as saltpeter, in both combustible (cone and stick) and non-combustible (loose) forms.
Each attendee will make their own blend of aromatic woods, resins and essential oils, and learn how to create two forms of incense. You’ll take home your batch of incense to dry and cure, and will have the knowledge and experience to continue your experimentation at home.
It’s incredibly fun, smelly, messy and beautiful. My favorite kind of class.
$50 includes all supplies and instruction.
Space is limited to 12 attendees only, in order to provide adequate instruction to each.
Payment is required to register. Pay online at Paypal to, or call Green Wisdom at 562-591-8700 for more options.
